Terms of Service
Last updated: June 26, 2026
1. Overview
These Terms govern your use of bumblebee.buzz, the Bumblebee companion, Honeycomb dashboard, overlays, bots, store, partner tools, Hivewire workspace features, diagnostics, and related services operated by HiveTech LLC. By using Bumblebee, connecting it to your channels, buying digital goods, enabling AI/voice tools, pairing Hivewire, or joining a partner program, you agree to these Terms.
- Plain English: you control what Bumblebee is connected to, you are responsible for what you enable on your channels and devices, and we may limit or remove access when needed for safety, platform compliance, payments, abuse prevention, or service reliability.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 13 to use Bumblebee. If local law requires you to be older to purchase subscriptions, receive payouts, or enter into partner terms, you represent that you meet that requirement or have the required consent.
- Provide accurate account, OAuth, payout, tax, and partner information and keep credentials and authorized sessions secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and connected channels.
- If you use Bumblebee for an organization, server, stream, community, or channel, you represent that you have authority to connect Bumblebee and enable the relevant features.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
- Free and paid tiers are available; current rates are shown in-app before purchase.
- Early Access pricing, when offered, is locked for 12 months from signup.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid period. Refunds are not provided for partial periods or renewals unless required by law.
- Users can cancel or change tiers through the Stripe customer portal.
- Subscriptions are managed through Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Usage limits, caps, throttles, or fair-use controls may account for AI prompts, transcription, TTS, image generation, web search, code interpreter, diagnostics, provider costs, and other metered features.
- We may pause, throttle, require plan changes, require user-provided provider keys, or disable features when usage threatens reliability, creates unusual cost, violates policy, or appears abusive.
4. Digital Goods
- Digital avatars, puppets, handles, bubbles, badges, voices, bundles, and related cosmetic items are licensed for use inside Bumblebee, not sold as unrestricted standalone files.
- Purchases are final unless required by law. We may remove, replace, or restrict digital goods when needed for safety, platform compliance, rights issues, or service operation.
- You may not resell, export, rip, redistribute, or use Bumblebee digital goods outside the service unless we grant written permission.
- Generated previews, thumbnails, rendered puppet assets, and store media may be created, cached, modified, or removed to support the Bumblebee store and overlay experience.
5. Affiliate Partner Program
- Affiliates are independent partners, not employees, agents, franchisees, or legal representatives of HiveTech LLC.
- You may create and manage up to 10 active promo codes unless Bumblebee grants a different limit. Codes must be promoted honestly and may not be used for spam, deception, harassment, platform rule violations, paid ad abuse, or self-dealing that manipulates commissions.
- Affiliate earnings are calculated on eligible paid conversions, renewals, and store purchases according to the rates shown in your partner dashboard or a written partner agreement.
- Earnings may be delayed, reduced, reversed, or withheld for refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fraud, attribution errors, tax withholding, platform violations, or suspected abuse.
- Bumblebee may review, pause, rename, disable, or delete promo codes and partner accounts to protect users, platforms, payment systems, or the service.
- You must clearly disclose affiliate relationships where required by law, platform rules, or advertising standards.
6. Artist Partner Program
- Artists must own or have all rights needed for any uploaded puppet art, source files, previews, names, descriptions, metadata, and related materials.
- By submitting work, you grant Bumblebee a worldwide, non-exclusive license to review, render, adapt for technical compatibility, display, market, sell, support, and distribute approved assets through Bumblebee.
- Submissions may be rejected, revised, removed, unpublished, or paused for quality, safety, rights, policy, platform, operational, or brand reasons.
- Artist royalties are calculated on eligible sales according to the rates shown in Beekeeper, Puppet Studio, or a written partner agreement, and may be adjusted for refunds, chargebacks, disputes, taxes, or abuse.
- Do not upload infringing, misleading, harmful, hateful, adult, exploitative, or otherwise unlawful content. Do not upload a person's likeness or protected character unless you have the rights and permissions required.
- We may remove or withhold availability of assets during rights disputes, payment disputes, chargebacks, safety reviews, platform complaints, takedown requests, or suspected abuse.
7. Partner Payouts and Taxes
- Partner payouts require Stripe Express or another payout method we approve. Stripe may collect identity, bank, tax, and compliance information directly.
- You are responsible for taxes, reporting, and local legal requirements related to your partner earnings.
- We may set payout schedules, minimum payout thresholds, eligibility windows, and reserve periods to account for refunds and disputes.
- Earnings, credits, or royalties may be reversed, reduced, or withheld for fraud, self-dealing, chargebacks, refunds, tax withholding, sanctions, identity-verification issues, or policy violations.
8. Platform Permissions and Data Use
- You must comply with connected platform terms, including Google/YouTube, Twitch, and Discord. When you enable posting, automation, listening, or role management, you authorize Bumblebee to act within the scopes you approve.
- Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. We apply the same protections to Twitch and Discord data.
- We request scopes for supported connected-platform features, do not sell connected-platform data, and do not use it for targeted ads, data brokering, credit decisions, or generalized AI model training.
- You can revoke platform access through Bumblebee or platform account settings.
- We may disconnect accounts, remove features, or block platform actions if an integration becomes unavailable, unsafe, noncompliant, rate-limited, or abused.
- Relevant platform and provider terms include the YouTube API Services Terms, Twitch Developer Services Agreement, Discord Developer Terms, OpenAI policies, Microsoft/Azure terms, Stripe terms, and Cloudflare terms where those services are involved.
9. Acceptable Use
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, non-consensual sexual content, exploitation, doxxing, scams, unlawful surveillance, or unlawful content through Bumblebee.
- No intellectual property infringement or uploads you lack rights to use.
- No spam, bot abuse, artificial engagement, rate-limit bypassing, scraping, or security testing without permission.
- No attempts to reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or misuse the service.
- No malware, credential theft, secret exfiltration, unauthorized access, deceptive impersonation, or attempts to bypass subscription caps, confirmations, security controls, provider limits, or platform rules.
- Do not use synthetic voices, AI-generated likenesses, images, or messages to mislead people about who is speaking, endorse products without permission, or violate publicity or privacy rights.
10. Voice, Streams, and Participant Notice
- You are responsible for giving any required notice and getting any required permission before enabling Discord voice, transcription, TTS, voice puppets, captions, chat relay, stream overlays, or automation in a server, channel, stream, or community.
- You must comply with platform rules and applicable recording, wiretap, privacy, publicity, biometric, consumer-protection, and communications laws that apply to your use.
- Bumblebee's keyword detector only recognizes trained keyword phrases; it is not a promise that all voice features are private by default. Voice bubbles, captions, and other enabled voice features may transcribe enabled speakers for overlay or product behavior.
11. AI, TTS, Tools, and Generated Content
- AI, TTS, transcription, image, web-search, code-interpreter, and tool features may be inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inappropriate. Review outputs before relying on them.
- You are responsible for automations, messages, generated images, generated voice, moderation actions, platform posts, settings changes, channel updates, and tool actions enabled or approved on your account, channels, devices, or communities.
- Bumblebee may process voice, text, images, prompts, files, screenshots, tool results, and related context through OpenAI, Microsoft/Azure, and other providers needed to deliver the features you enable.
- Bumblebee is not designed for medical, legal, financial, emergency, safety-critical, or high-stakes decisions. Do not rely on Bumblebee as the sole source for those decisions.
- Do not put secrets, passwords, payment data, medical or legal identifiers, sensitive personal data, or private third-party data into prompts, generated-content features, memories, or tools unless you have the right to do so.
12. Hivewire and Local Machine Access
- Hivewire is optional. If you pair a local bridge, you authorize Bumblebee to exchange bridge status, workspace state, terminal input/output, Codex prompts, pasted content, command results, and related tool events needed for enabled Hivewire features.
- You are responsible for commands, prompts, and tool actions run through your paired bridge. Where Bumblebee requires confirmation for risky filesystem, git, process, network, install, or secret-revealing commands, you must provide that confirmation before those actions are run.
- Showing Hivewire on a stream overlay can expose local code, file names, terminal output, secrets, private project data, and other local-machine content. Enable overlay sharing only when you accept that risk.
- Do not use Hivewire to process third-party confidential information, regulated data, secrets, or private files unless you have the legal right and authorization to do so.
13. License and Intellectual Property
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Bumblebee as provided. We retain all right, title, and interest in the service, software, brand, and content except rights you or artist partners retain in submitted materials. You may not use our marks without permission.
14. Service Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, partner programs, payouts, or integrations. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, suspected abuse, legal or compliance reasons, platform risk, payment risk, or to protect the service. Availability depends on third-party platforms and vendors.
15. Privacy
Your use of Bumblebee is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, retain, and share data.
16. Data Deletion and Export
- You can disconnect Google/YouTube, Twitch, or Discord at any time; this revokes tokens and stops listeners or automations that depend on those connections.
- You can manage memories, settings, subscriptions, platform connections, and optional features where the dashboard provides controls.
- Request access, copies, correction, or deletion by emailing support@bumblebee.buzz. We may retain records needed for legal, security, billing, tax, payout, dispute, or abuse prevention obligations.
17. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to Bumblebee is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of Bumblebee, your uploads, generated content, voice or transcription features, local bridge use, channel automations, partner promotions, tax/payout information, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, platform rules, or law.
19. Trademarks
"Bumblebee" is a trademark of HiveTech LLC. You may not use this term or any confusingly similar variant without express written permission.
20. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. For material changes, we will provide notice in-product or by email when practical before they take effect.
